Installation & Setup

What type of electrical or gas connection is required?

Gas models require a 120V outlet plus a natural gas hookup.

Electric and induction models require a 240V outlet.

Not sure what you have? Our free Before You Buy guide walks you through how to check your electrical connection before you order.

What receptacle does the 4-Prong Power Cord require?

The 4-Prong Power Cord requires a standard NEMA 14-50R receptacle. If you are switching from gas to electric, you will likely need an electrician to install one before delivery day.

What is the gas pipe size for Rangaire gas ranges?

Rangaire gas ranges use a 1/2" gas pipe.

Can I convert a gas range from natural gas to liquid propane (LP)?

Yes. Conversion kits are available for most gas models. Contact our customer service team to confirm compatibility with your specific model before ordering.

Do I need professional installation?

Rangaire does not offer installation, but most customers handle it easily with an appliance installer or contractor. An electrician is only needed if you are adding a new outlet or circuit — for example, switching from gas to electric for the first time.

We recommend Thumbtack or Angi to find a qualified local installer near you.

Can the range height be adjusted?

Yes. Rangaire ranges come with adjustable legs that provide approximately 2 inches of height adjustment, making it easy to level the range and fit your space.

Cooking & Features

Can I use the oven and cooktop at the same time?

Yes. The oven and cooktop operate independently. You can bake or roast in the oven while cooking on the stovetop at the same time.

Does the oven support multi-rack baking?

Yes. The convection system circulates heat evenly throughout the oven cavity, so you can bake on multiple racks at once with consistent results.

Does the oven light stay on while cooking?

Yes. The oven light stays on during all cooking modes, including Bake, Convection Bake, Roast, Broil, and Convection Broil, so you can keep an eye on your food without opening the door.

What does the indicator light mean?

The indicator light turns on when the heating element is actively working to reach the set temperature. It turns off once the target temperature is reached, then cycles on and off as the oven maintains that temperature.

What is the temperature range for the Keep Warm function?

The Keep Warm function holds food between 140°F and 210°F. This applies to both single and double oven range models.

What is the maximum oven temperature?

The maximum oven temperature is 550°F.

Do I need special cookware for an induction range or cooktop?

Induction cooking requires magnetic cookware. Here is a simple test: hold a magnet to the bottom of the pan. If it sticks, the cookware is induction-compatible.

Good to know: not all "induction-ready" cookware performs equally. Some pans may produce a faint buzzing sound on induction. This is normal and comes from the pan itself, not a defect with your range.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Do I need to remove the oven racks before running the Self-Clean cycle?

Yes. Remove all bakeware, the broiler pan, and oven racks before starting the Self-Clean cycle. The function uses very high heat, so please ensure adequate ventilation and follow all safety precautions in your User Guide.

Do I need oven cleaner for the self-clean cycle?

No chemicals needed. Simply remove the racks, wipe out any loose debris, and start the cycle. The high heat takes care of baked-on residue.

Which parts are dishwasher safe?

The following removable parts can go in the dishwasher:

  • Oven racks - Place on the lower rack using a gentle cycle.
  • Burner caps - Dishwasher safe, though hand-washing is recommended to preserve finish and shine.

Range Hoods

What ceiling heights do Rangaire range hoods accommodate?

Rangaire hoods include telescopic duct covers that extend from a minimum of 15¾ inches to a maximum of 30 inches, accommodating most standard ceiling heights.

What are the chimney dimensions on the range hood?
  • Width: 9.88 inches
  • Depth: 7.32 inches
  • Height (adjustable): 29.5 to 43.3 inches

Dimensions & Specifications

What are the interior oven dimensions for the 24" Electric Range?
  • Height: 18.27 in
  • Width: 16.22 in
  • Depth: 17.40 in
  • Capacity: 2.98 cu. ft.
How large is the storage drawer on the 24" range?

The storage drawer measures 19" wide, 14¾" deep, and 3½" tall.

How long is the power cord?

The power cord for the range is 65 inches long.

What is the height of the oven door handle?

The bottom of the oven door handle sits approximately 27½ inches from the floor.

Delivery & Shipping

How much does delivery cost?

Curbside delivery is free on all orders. We notify you in advance before the delivery arrives.

If you would like your appliance brought inside your home, White Glove delivery is available for an additional $129.

What is the difference between curbside and White Glove delivery?

Curbside (free): We notify you in advance and deliver to your curb or driveway. No scheduled appointment needed.

White Glove ($129): A scheduled delivery into your home with packaging removed. Because it involves two legs of transport, White Glove may take 3 to 5 additional days. If we cannot accommodate it in your area, the fee will be fully refunded.

All delivery trucks are equipped with a lift gate.

Can you deliver to rural areas or properties with gravel driveways?

All of our delivery trucks are equipped with lift gates. For rural properties or gravel driveways, delivery feasibility depends on the specific truck and road conditions at the time. We cannot make a firm guarantee, but if access is reasonable, the driver will do their best to accommodate.

Warranty & Returns

What is Rangaire's warranty policy?

All Rangaire appliances are covered by a 1-Year Parts and Labor Warranty. If something goes wrong, we ship genuine replacement parts directly to you, typically at no charge and within a few business days. We can also connect you with a qualified local service technician. If we cannot locate a technician near you, we offer a full refund or replacement.

What is Rangaire's return policy?

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of delivery, contact us and we will arrange a return and issue a full refund.

Does Rangaire have showrooms or local dealers?

Rangaire is a direct-to-consumer brand and does not sell through local dealer showrooms. Going direct means we can offer better value without adding retail markup.

You can also find Rangaire appliances at Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and Wayfair. And our 30-day satisfaction guarantee means you can order with confidence.

Service & Replacement Parts

How do I get service or replacement parts?

Our customer service team is based in Irvine, California. Reach us by phone, text, or email. We keep genuine replacement parts in stock and ship them directly to you, typically at no charge for warranty claims and within a few business days.

Rangaire appliances are designed to be simple to service. Any qualified appliance technician or capable handyperson can work on them. No proprietary service lock-in.

What parts are most likely to need replacement over time?

For electric and induction ranges, the most common wear items are cooktop heating elements and burner control switches. Our overall warranty repair rate is very low, under 3%.

Parts are sold at honest prices, currently under $100 each, and components are reliability-tested for 10 or more years of regular use.

Are induction ranges more reliable than electric ranges?

Induction is reliable and energy-efficient. In practice, our electric and induction models have similar warranty claim rates. One thing to be aware of: some cookware, even pans labeled "induction-ready," may produce a faint buzzing sound. This is normal and comes from the pan material, not the range.

We still sell more electric ranges overall, but induction is an excellent choice for energy efficiency and precise temperature control.
