Warranty Overview
Unless otherwise stated, Rangaire warrants to the original purchaser of new Rangaire ranges, ovens, cooktops, and range hoods that such equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of delivery. Valid only in the Continental United States and Canada.
This warranty is only valid on equipment purchased from an authorized dealer.
Coverage Exclusions
The 1-year parts and labor warranty does not cover:
- Failure to install or use the equipment within proper operating conditions specified by Rangaire, including residential, outdoor, or mobile applications.
- Adjustments necessitated by improper operating conditions.
- Damage caused by improper electrical connection, power failure, or generators.
- Failure to properly maintain the unit, including all preventive maintenance and cleaning.
- Equipment sold or used outside the United States or Canada, purchased second-hand, sold by an unauthorized reseller, or expressly sold without warranty coverage.
- Equipment without a valid serial number and proof of purchase, or other means to verify warranty coverage.
- Equipment subject to misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, negligence, damage during transit, delivery or installation, fire, flood, or act of God.
- Equipment altered, modified, or repaired by anyone other than an authorized service agency, outside of preventative maintenance and cleaning.
- Parts deemed by Rangaire to be normal wear and tear, including hoses and select plastic or rubber components.
- Damage in shipping and transportation, unless reported to Rangaire within 7 days after delivery.
- Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, or finish damage, unless resulting from defects in materials or workmanship and reported within 90 days of delivery.
- Disposal fees for the product.
- Damage to the home or premises during installation, including floors, walls, and furniture.
- Acts of nature, including damage caused by vermin, lightning, wind, fire, flood, or acts of God.
- Shipping and transportation charges for repair or replacement.
- Travel, mileage, and transportation costs for warranty service in remote areas where authorized service is unavailable.
Limitation of Liability
The remedies described in this warranty are your sole and exclusive remedies and Rangaire's entire liability for any breach of this limited warranty. Rangaire's liability shall under no circumstances exceed the actual amount paid for the defective product, nor shall Rangaire be liable for any consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages or losses, whether direct or indirect.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
